Job Summary
RN on the Cardiac ICU/Neuro-focused units with responsibilities including assessing, planning, implementing, evaluating and supervising patient care; serve as preceptor and charge nurse; provide education and care planning, collaborate with healthcare team, and ensure readiness for discharge. Requires leadership in nursing practice, supervision of non-RN personnel on the unit, and competency in advanced cardiac care including neuro assessments, airway management, suctioning, and care for patients with devices such as ventilators and LVADs; location East Norwalk, CT; BSN preferred and CT RN licensure required.
Required Qualifications
- Graduation from an accredited school of nursing
- Licensed and currently registered nurse in the State of Connecticut
- BCLS certification or ability to obtain within one month of hire
- BSN preferred
- Clinical specialty certification encouraged
