Registered Nurse RN – Congestive Heart Failure Unit

Registered Nurse on the Cardiac ICU/Neuro-focused units at YNHHS delivers comprehensive bedside care across the continuum, including assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation, and supervision of patient care. Responsibilities include developing and documenting individualized plans of care, coordinating with the healthcare team, serving as preceptor to new staff, functioning as charge nurse, and ensuring high-level service. Unit specialties cover neuro, airway management, tracheostomy care, ventilated patients, Halo brace management, and advanced cardiac care including ECMO/ LVAD considerations. The role requires nursing competency within the Cardiac ICU/Cardiothoracic ICU settings, adherence to Nurse Practice Act, and alignment with organizational values of integrity, patient-centered care, respect, accountability, and compassion.
