Job Summary
Registered Nurse in the Congestive Heart Failure Unit providing comprehensive cardiac patient care within Yale New Haven Health System. Responsibilities include applying the nursing process (assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, evaluation); coordinating care with patients, families, and health care team; delivering patient-centered care across cardiac units (including heart failure, post-op cardiac surgery, and interventional cardiology services); adhering to ANA Standards of Practice and professional practice model; leadership, education, and evidence-based practice to improve outcomes; and maintaining cultural competency and safety in a high-acuity cardiovascular inpatient setting.
Required Qualifications
- Education: Graduation from an accredited school of nursing. BSN preferred.
- Licensure/Certification: Licensed and currently registered nurse in the State of Connecticut. Current BCLS certification or must obtain within one month of hire.
- Clinical specialty certification highly encouraged.
- Experience/Practice: RN responsibilities aligned with ANA Scope and Standards; professional practice, ethics, communication, collaboration, leadership, and evidence-based practice.
