Job Summary
Registered Nurse on the Congestive Heart Failure/Cardiac ICU units. Responsibilities include assessing patients continuously, developing and documenting individualized plans of care, coordinating with the healthcare team, supervising non-RN staff, serving as charge nurse, and providing education to patients and families. Requires competency in neuro assessment, airway management, care of trached patients, and familiarity with devices and procedures used in high-acuity cardiac care; LICENSURE in CT and BCLS demonstrated within one month. Required Qualifications
- Graduation from an accredited school of nursing
- Licensed and currently registered nurse in the State of Connecticut
- BSN preferred
- All newly hired RNs must have current BCLS certification or obtain within one month of hire
