Job Summary
Registered Nurse on the Cognitive Health Unit (PRN). Provides direct, safe patient care as part of an interdisciplinary team for a variety of patients with a focus on progressing clinical practice, nursing leadership roles, and engagement in governance activities (VOICE, Nursing Quality Teams). Responsibilities include applying the nursing process, coordinating care, contributing to discharge planning, and using evidence-based practices. Essential tasks encompass medication administration, documentation in the EMR, recognizing changes in patient status, and participating in PI processes. Opportunities for professional development include leadership in unit operations, mentoring, and potential involvement in NGHS shared governance. Minimum qualifications include Georgia RN licensure and an Associates Degree; new graduates referred to the RN Residency Program. Preferred qualifications include national certification in a clinical specialty and a Bachelor of Nursing Degree.
Required Qualifications
- Licensed to practice as an RN in Georgia
- Educational Requirements: Associates Degree
- One year of experience as a professional RN (new graduates referred to RN Residency Program)
