Job Summary
Conduct direct patient care in the telemetry unit by performing the nursing process, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation. Coordinate interdisciplinary rounds and documentation while partnering with patients and families to set goals and provide bedside teaching. Uphold evidence-based practice standards, participate in performance improvement initiatives, and mentor new staff as a preceptor. Comply with Georgia Nurse Practice Act, TJC safety goals, and Wellstar policies. Requires current RN license, BLS certification, and less than one year of direct patient care experience.
Required Qualifications
- RN - Reg Nurse (Single State) or RN-COMPACT - RN - Multi-state Compact
- BLS - Basic Life Support or ARC-BLS - Amer Red Cross Basic Life Support or BLS-I - Basic Life Support - Instructor
- Less than 1 year Completion of accredited/ approved school of nursing with requisition clinical hours Required
- direct patient care experience Preferred
