Job Summary

Assess, analyze, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care following established standards while assessing and transferring patients. Float flexibly across various departments and sites within the organization, which may include scheduling day-of staffing, multiple assignment locations in a single shift, travel assignments, or seasonal staffing patterns. Participate as a member of the health care team under the direction of a clinical manager to support continuous quality improvement and departmental goals. Formulate and implement individualized plans of care for each patient, incorporating evidence-based interventions and documentation. Maintain patient safety by advocating for ongoing quality improvement and utilizing best available evidence in clinical decision-making.

Required Qualifications

  • Associate's of Nursing
  • Current nursing license in the designated state of employment
  • Basic Life Support (BLS)
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
  • 1 year of experience as an Registered Nurse in acute care
  • Medical equipment knowledge
  • Proficiency in clinical skills
  • Principles and practices of professional nursing
  • Ability to perform assessments
  • Proficiency in using computerized tools
  • Accountability for completion of required education and competencies
  • Exhibition of professionalism, ethical practice and customer focused approach
  • Use of restraints
  • Coordination of patient care delivery
  • Integration of quality improvement, evidence-based practices and research in practice
  • Teamwork
