Job Summary
Registered Nurse in the Clinical Decision Unit (CDU) at Lee's Summit Medical Center. Provide patient-centered care, administer medications, monitor and document care, educate patients and families, and collaborate with the care team to ensure timely, high-quality outcomes. CDU is a 12-bed short-stay unit for observation patients; responsibilities include admission assessment, ongoing monitoring, prompt reporting of changes, and adherence to nursing models (Assess, Perform, Teach, and Manage). Unit includes RNs, Patient Care Techs, CNCs, and management; ACLS and BLS competencies required within specified timeframes.
Required Qualifications
- RN (Registered Nurse) license
- Associate Degree in Nursing
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) within 90 days of employment start date
- Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS/BLS) within 30 days of employment start date
