Job Summary
Coordinate patient care activities in the clinic by greeting patients, obtaining health histories, and conducting nursing assessments. Administer prescribed medications and treatments while preparing equipment for provider procedures and examinations. Screen patients for appropriate information, document findings in charts, and instruct patients on sample collection and diagnostic processes. Monitor patient reactions to treatments, report conditions to physicians, and manage appointment scheduling with priority for emergency cases. Maintain exam room cleanliness, prepare medical supply lists, and ensure pathology specimens are labeled according to lab protocols.
Required Qualifications
- Registered Nurse (RN)
- Board of Nursing
- Active license in the state of practice
- Visual acuity adequate to perform position duties
- Ability to communicate effectively with others
- Ability to hear, understand and distinguish speech and other sounds
- Ability to work the hours specified
