Job Summary
Coordinate and evaluate resident care within the nursing home facility, administering prescribed medications and treatments while conducting comprehensive nursing assessments. Monitor residents' conditions, modify care plans, and communicate significant changes to physicians, families, and interdisciplinary team members. Supervise direct nursing care and support Licensed Practical Nurses and Certified Nursing Assistants to ensure consistent quality. Maintain accurate documentation, participate in care conferences and quality assurance programs, and respond promptly to emergencies with appropriate clinical interventions. Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations while serving as a clinical resource to nursing staff.
Required Qualifications
- Current and unencumbered Oklahoma Registered Nurse (RN) License
- Up-to-date First Aid and CPR certification
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
- Current CPR and First Aid certification (or ability to obtain upon hire)
- Moderate level of computer literacy
- Ability to effectively communicate and interact professionally with staff and residents
- Ability to stand, walk, and move throughout the facility for prolonged periods
- Ability to lift, push, pull, and move up to 50 pounds
- Visual and auditory acuity required for assessing residents and monitoring equipment
- Physical and emotional stamina to respond effectively to resident needs and emergencies in a fast-paced environment
Desired Qualifications
- One (1) or more years of experience in a skilled nursing or Long-term Care environment
- Minimum of 1–3 years of clinical nursing experience in long-term care, skilled nursing, or related healthcare setting
