Job Summary
Care for patients experiencing medical, cardiac, and trauma-related emergencies in the Christiana Emergency Department. Provide nursing support for a Level I trauma center serving as Delaware's only such facility, collaborating with state and private emergency-management personnel. Deliver high-quality care to injured persons while maintaining comradery and teamwork with bedside staff. This Full Time Flex (72 hours per pay) position operates on a midnight schedule from 7 p.m. to 7:30 a.m., requiring commitment for every third weekend and two holidays annually. New hires accepting the overnight schedule with a two-year commitment receive a $20,000 sign-on bonus paid in four $5,000 increments. Hourly pay ranges from $41.28 to $66.05.
Required Qualifications
- BSN required or commitment to obtaining within three years of date of hire
- At least one year of experience in a med/surgical unit or ED required
- BLS required
- Full Time Flex (72 hours per pay) position
- Midnight schedule of 7 p.m. – 7:30 a.m.
- Commitment required for every third weekend and 2 holidays per year
- Commitment of 2 years
