Job Summary
IMC Registered Nurse (RN) Charge Nurse leading and mentoring nursing and support staff on the 14-bed IMC unit. Provides direct patient care as needed, determines staffing levels and assignments based on census, acuity, and workflow, floats between staff, handles admissions/discharges and transfers, addresses patient care issues, ensures equipment and supplies are available, and integrates evidence-based practices. Participates in performance improvement and continuing education, fosters professional growth, and maintains flexible shift coverage. Requires Kentucky (or compact) RN license, Associate degree in nursing, and BLS/ACLS/PALS certifications within specified timeframes. Sign-on bonus available; schedule includes nights (3x12) and full-time status.
Required Qualifications
- Current Kentucky or compact-state RN license
- Associate's degree from an accredited nursing school
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 1 month of hire
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification within 6 months of hire
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification within 6 months of hire
