Job Summary
Assess, monitor, administer medication, document progress, and manage care for post-surgical and medical-surgical patient populations. Partner with an interdisciplinary team including attending physicians, nurses, and ancillary staff to optimize patient outcomes. Advocate for patients and their loved ones through safety interventions, emotional support, and education. Requires a New York RN license, BSN degree, and ACLS/BLS certifications. Located in Port Jefferson, this role supports a hospital campus with advanced expertise in maternal/child services, orthopedics, and bariatric surgery.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree
- New York Registered Nurse (RN) License & Registration
- AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification
Desired Qualifications
- Passion for Medical-Surgical Nursing and caring for a diverse patient population
- 1+ Years of acute care nursing (RN) experience
