Job Summary
Assess, monitor, administer medication, document progress, and manage care for pediatric acute rehab, medical-surgical, and adolescent detox patients. Implement strategies promoting physical, psychosocial, and spiritual health while partnering with an interdisciplinary team to ensure seamless continuity of care. Advocate for patients and families through safety interventions, emotional support, and education. Requires a BSN, New York RN license, and BLS/PALS certifications. Located in Port Jefferson at St. Charles Campus of Good Samaritan University Hospital.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree
- New York Registered Nurse (RN) License & Registration
- AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification
- 1+ Years of acute care nursing (RN) experience
- Previous pediatric nursing experience
