Job Summary
Circulate and scrub into a variety of surgical specialties while partnering with an interdisciplinary team to optimize patient outcomes and satisfaction. Advocate for and build meaningful relationships with patients and loved ones through safety intervention, emotional support, and education. Maintain BLS certification, with ACLS and PALS required depending on the specific perioperative area, and provide on-call coverage to ensure 24-hour operating room availability. Requires an Associate's degree in nursing with a Bachelor's preferred and current New York State licensure.
Required Qualifications
- Associates in Nursing degree from an accredited school of nursing
- Licensed and currently registered as a professional nurse in New York State
- BLS certification
- ACLS certification for Perioperative areas (Ambulatory Surgery, PACU, OR, Endoscopy), ED, S Unit and all critical care areas
- PALS certification for ED and PACU
- On-call coverage availability
