Job Summary
Care Advocate RN remote role focusing on patient navigation for Medicare beneficiaries. Serve as the primary post-intake contact, helping patients understand and act on their care plan, schedule appointments, navigate insurance, and connect to community resources (food, housing, transportation). Provide non-clinical support under the supervision of the patient's billing provider, handling multiple patients concurrently, documenting interactions, and maintaining HIPAA/privacy standards. Requires active RN license, 3+ years of nursing/patient-facing experience, and strong communication and tech skills. Flexible 20–40 hours/week; 1099 independent contractor; remote in the United States. Hourly rate $35–$41 depending on experience and language skills.
Required Qualifications
- Active, unrestricted RN license in good standing
- 3+ years of nursing or patient-facing experience (care coordination, case management, member advocacy, health coaching, benefits navigation, or similar)
- Working knowledge of the U.S. healthcare system and Medicare
- Comfort working independently, managing a caseload, and maintaining strong documentation
- Reliable computer, internet, and a quiet space for patient calls
