Job Summary
Assess patient status, determine priority of problems, and develop care plans to enhance outcomes on the cardiovascular stepdown unit. Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to conduct initial and ongoing assessments, analyze data, implement treatments, and evaluate effectiveness. Serve as the point of contact for care coordination across hospital departments and act as a patient safety advocate by participating in quality improvement initiatives. Administer medications safely in accordance with state practice and organizational policies. Requires one year of RN experience with a preference for acute care background; current state licensure and BLS/ACLS certification are mandatory. Evening and night shifts with 36 scheduled weekly hours.
Required Qualifications
- Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN)
- 1 year of RN experience
- ACLS Advanced Cardiac Life Support (required within 6 months of hire)
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science Nursing (preferred, not required)
- 6 months RN experience in an acute care hospital setting
- BLS Basic Life Support
