Job Summary
The Registered Nurse (RN) in Cardiovascular Services PCU 2DE assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates patient care within an interdisciplinary team, ensuring high-quality outcomes through adherence to therapeutic standards. Key responsibilities include maintaining patient safety through infection control, documenting care, providing emotional support, teaching self-care skills, and maintaining equipment and nursing supplies. The candidate must hold an accredited nursing degree, possess strong organizational skills, and current PA RN license, along with certifications in BLS and ACLS.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Nursing Program required.
- Current licensure to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of Pennsylvania
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Current ACLS certification or completion within one year of hire/transfer
- Current NIH Stroke Scale certification or completion within six months of hire/transfer
- Strong leadership ability, good organizational skills, independent and critical thinking skills, sound judgment
- Strong ability to communicate complex topics to a diverse audience.
Desired Qualifications
- One (1) year medical/surgical, PCU or critical care experience.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN)
