Job Summary
Assess patient status, determine priority of problems, and implement clinical nursing interventions for acute, critical patients requiring intensive medical care. Develop and perform patient care plans to enhance outcomes while ensuring a safe, therapeutic environment. Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to analyze initial and ongoing assessments, create care plans, and evaluate treatment effectiveness. Synthesize information to take immediate, evidence-based action using clinical judgment, anticipating and adapting to rapidly changing conditions. Administer medications safely in accordance with state practice and organizational policies. Requires one year of RN experience; Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred.
Required Qualifications
- Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN)
- 1 year of RN experience
- ACLS Advanced Cardiac Life Support (required within 6 months of hire)
- PALS Pediatric Advanced Life Support (required in lieu of BLS/ACLS for Pediatric Units)
- Bachelor of Science Nursing (preferred, not required)
Desired Qualifications
- BLS Basic Life Support
- 6 months RN experience in a Med/Surg, Critical Care, Stepdown, or Emergency Department Unit
