Job Summary
Registered Nurse in the Cardiovascular Progressive Care Unit (CVPCU) at Mercy South, Saint Louis, MO, caring for complex cardiovascular/thoracic patients including post-operative cardiac/thoracic surgery, CHF, arrhythmias, STEMI, and related conditions. Provides patient care per the nursing process, coordinates with surgeons, cardiologists, and heart clinic teams, ensures patient rights and confidentiality, and participates in structured orientation and growth opportunities. Flexible schedule includes weekend and night shifts (36 hours/week) with opportunities for cross-training and advancement within CPCU and related specialties. Requires active RN license in MO or compact licensure and BLS certification (or obtained within 30 days of hire). Required Qualifications
- Education: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with Associate Degree in Nursing, Nursing Diploma, or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
- Licensure: Must hold and maintain a current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Missouri or possess compact licensure.
- Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) required or must obtain within 30 days of hire.
