Job Summary
Registered Nurse (RN) with a focus on cardiovascular care. Responsible for patient assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation within the cardiovascular unit, including invasive procedures support, continuous cardiac monitoring, accurate documentation, and collaboration with the healthcare team. Provides caregiver education to patients and families, delegates appropriately, participates in on-call schedules, and adheres to Mercy safety guidelines. Requires current Iowa (or compact state) RN licensure, BLS certification, and mandatory reporter training. Baccalaureate Degree in Nursing preferred. Position supports Mercy Cedar Rapids with part-time scheduling and a sign-on bonus potential.
Required Qualifications
- Current license to practice as a registered nurse in the state of Iowa or compact state
- Current certification in Basic Life Support, in accordance with the American Heart Association
- Iowa Dependent Adult Abuse/Iowa Child Abuse Mandatory Reporter training
