Job Summary
Registered Nurse (RN) in Cardiothoracic Open Heart with 1:1 patient care in the OR. Responsibilities include assessing patient needs and planning perioperative care, applying aseptic techniques, accurate documentation in the op-time EHR, handling and caring for OR equipment and supplies, ensuring patient safety, coordinating time-outs, contributing to education and orientation of staff, participating in committees and quality programs, and maintaining compliance with AORN/AAMI/OSHA standards while pursuing ongoing professional development and potential certification as an OR nurse.
Required Qualifications
- Current state RN license
- Associates or Bachelor's degree in nursing from an accredited nursing school
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 30 days of hire
- CPR Certification
- One year minimum nursing experience and/or equivalent surgical experience
- CNOR preferred
- Operating Room circulating nurse/ASC experience preferred
