Job Summary
Perform plan of care interventions including medication administration, specimen collection, and clinical treatments for cardiac and CVA patients. Monitor, record, and communicate patient conditions to the care team, physician, and families while assisting with activities of daily living. Collaborate across disciplines to coordinate transfers, discharges, and referrals, and evaluate learning needs to provide patient and family education. Advocate for the physical and emotional well-being of patients on a 6 x 12-hour rotating shift schedule.
Required Qualifications
- current Michigan RN license
- associate's degree from an accredited nursing school
- Basic Life Support Health Care Provider (BLS-HCP)
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) (within 1 year)
- IMCU cross-training (within 1 year)
- Trauma Nurse Core Course (TNCC) (within 1 year)
