Registered Nurse (RN) | Cardiac/Medical Stepdown Unit | Weekend Days

Registered Nurse for Methodist University Hospital's Cardiac and Medical Stepdown Unit. Weekend days schedule. Responsible for delivering and coordinating nursing care within a multidisciplinary team using the nursing process to ensure high-quality care. Conducts comprehensive nursing assessments, develops and adjusts individualized care plans, administers medications safely, educates patients and families on care plans and self-care, and collaborates with interdisciplinary teams to ensure coordinated patient care. Requires TN RN licensure, BLS, and an associate degree in nursing; preferred bachelor’s degree in nursing and 0-1 years of clinical experience in nursing. Unit handles cardiac patients including post-CABG and post-heart catheterization with interventions; opportunities to care for ENT surgery patients on the medical side. Demonstrates professionalism, adheres to MLH mission and values, and contributes to a patient-centered, evidence-based practice environment.
