Job Summary
Utilize the nursing process to provide individualized care for patients recovering from TAVR, post-operative surgeries, acute STIs, strokes, traumatic injuries, or detoxification. Collaborate with inter-professional colleagues to plan, implement, and evaluate care while managing patients with secured airways, ventilators, and vasopressors. Coordinate patient assessment, education, triage, and follow-up across the continuum of care within the Intermediate Care Unit. Maintain competency in department-specific standards and adhere to state licensure and the Nurse Practice Act.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate from an accredited nursing program
- Currently holds an unencumbered RN license with the State Board of Nursing where the practice of nursing is occurring
- Possess multistate licensure if in a Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) state
- Obtains and subsequently maintains required department specific competencies and certifications
