Job Summary
Manage unstable STEMI patients, post-PCI recovery, and complex cardiac arrest cases including cardiogenic shock, ECMO, and Impella therapies. Provide advanced circulatory support for pre-transplant populations and treat complex arrhythmias with laser-assisted lead removal. Collaborate with intensivists, fellows, and advanced practice providers in a high-acuity cardiac environment. Full-time 3x12-hour shifts with day/night rotation. Join a Magnet-designated unit recognized for excellence in Northern Virginia.
Required Qualifications
- 1 year of experience as a Registered Nurse in a critical care setting or completion of a critical care fellowship
- BSN from an accredited school of nursing
- If RN has an Associate's Degree (ADN), must complete BSN within 5 years of start date
- BLS for healthcare provider certification from the AHA
- ACLS (must obtain within 6 months of hire)
- RN licensed, or eligible to practice in the Commonwealth of Virginia as an RN
Desired Qualifications
- 2+ years ICU RN experience and BSN
- CCRN certification
- Participation in unit-based or hospital committees
