Job Summary
Administer intravenous and oral medications to patients while monitoring electrical and hemodynamic parameters during electrophysiology studies. Circulate, assist the Electrophysologist, and deliver moderate sedation as requested. Prepare patients and equipment for procedures, including site preparation, draping, and calibrating transducers. Obtain and record vital signs, hemodynamic, and angiographic data while operating fluoroscopic equipment. Participate in late staffing, life-saving measures such as defibrillation, and orienting new staff. Requires Associate or Bachelor's Degree in Nursing, BLS/ACLS certification, and 2+ years of ICU or Cath Lab experience. Full-time position at the University of Kansas Health System in Kansas City.
Required Qualifications
- High School Graduate
- Associate Degree Nursing in Nursing Perioperative & Procedures
- Licensed Registered Nurse (LRN) - Single State - State Board of Nursing
- State of Kansas OR State of Missouri
- Basic Life Support Heartsaver (BLS HS) (Non-Clinical) - American Heart Association (AHA)
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) - American Heart Association (AHA)
- Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS or BCLS) - American Heart Association (AHA)
- 2 or more years of ICU or previous Cath Lab experience
- 2 or more years of ICU or previous Cath Lab experience
- Ability to communicate effectively

Desired Qualifications

- Electrophysiology Lab (Cath Lab and/or EP Lab) experience
- Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) - Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI)
- Registered Cardiac Electrophysiology Specialist (RCES) - Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI)
- Registration as Cardiovascular Technologist (RCVT)
- Cardiovascular Certificate, License or Registration ~ CCRN
