Job Summary
Delivers patient care utilizing the nursing process through data collection, assessment, and evaluation of outcomes. Coordinates patient teaching activities and directs care provided by health team members. Conducts initial and ongoing patient assessments, analyzes data, creates care plans, and implements treatments while evaluating effectiveness. Administers medications safely per state practice and organization policies. Serves as the point of contact for patient care coordination throughout hospital departments and participates in ongoing quality improvement. Acts as a patient safety advocate and incorporates the professional practice model into care delivery. Requires a valid nursing license, Associate or Diploma in Nursing (Bachelor's preferred), and BLS certification. Scheduled weekly hours are 36, with night shifts.
Required Qualifications
- BLS Basic Life Support
- Valid nursing license from the state of practice
- Associate of Nursing, nursing
- Diploma in Nursing
- Bachelor's degree in nursing
