Job Summary
RN provides comprehensive nursing care in an acute inpatient setting, guiding patient/family-centered care through assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation. Responsibilities include data collection, prioritizing patient plans, collaboration with care teams, discharge planning, documentation accuracy, ensuring patient safety, adherence to regulatory standards (TJC, CMS, SC DPH), cost containment, and participation in quality improvement and education for patients/families. Requires active RN license and at least one year of RN experience; night shift may be scheduled, including weekends/holidays.
Required Qualifications
- Associate degree in nursing
- RN licensure (compact/multi-state recognized or licensed in state of work)
- One year of RN experience preferred or successful completion of Prisma Health Nurse Residency or equivalent
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing preferred
- Knowledge/experience with regulatory requirements (TJC, CMS) and patient safety
- Ability to work night shift including weekends/holidays/on-call as needed
