Job Summary
Registered Nurse (RN) for a Med/Surg Telemetry unit specializing in general medical surgical and telemetry patients. Responsibilities include providing professional nursing services and patient care, following nursing processes such as assessment and intervention, and ensuring adherence to hospital policies. Must have RN licensure and complete specific training certifications within established timelines, such as BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS. The role requires effective clinical decision-making and delegation of care activities.
Required Qualifications
- Current RN licensure recognized by the Kentucky State Board of Nursing
- Completion and maintenance of BLS
- Successful completion of all competencies as identified on the departmental nurse competency grid
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing preferred
- ACLS & PALS within 6 months of hire
- NIHSS within 3 months of hire
