Job Summary
The Registered Nurse (RN) for the Cardiovascular, Thoracic Telemetry unit provides professional nursing practice centered on patient care in a 20 bed telemetry unit specializing in post-op CABG and cardiac surgery. Responsibilities include coordinating patient care, conducting assessments, facilitating admissions and discharges, and providing patient education. Candidates must hold current RN licensure in Kentucky and a relevant degree, with additional certifications and coursework as required.
Required Qualifications
- Current RN licensure or work permit in Kentucky
- Bachelor's or an associate degree in nursing from an accredited college/university
- Basic life support certification within 30 days of hire
Desired Qualifications
- ACLS certification
- PALS certification
- NRP certification
- dysrhythmia class completion
Additional Requirements
- Must enroll in a bachelor's degree program within 12 months if holding an associate degree and less than 10 years of experience.
- Must achieve the bachelor's degree within 5 years of hire.
