Job Summary
Provide safe, high-quality patient care through assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of individualized care plans for adolescent inpatients on the 14-bed Acute Stabilization Adolescent Psychiatric unit. Monitor patient conditions, administer treatments and physician orders, and document care. Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans and discharge needs. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to support positive patient outcomes, maintain compliance with hospital policies and licensure, and demonstrate critical thinking, clinical judgment, leadership, and teamwork in daily nursing practice. This role requires graduation from an accredited nursing program, Kentucky RN licensure, and BLS certification, with emphasis on psychiatric inpatient care and the specified training. Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing with a current RN license in the state of Kentucky or Kentucky work permit
- Associate degree in Nursing required; Bachelor’s degree preferred
- BLS certification through the American Heart Association required within 30 days of hire
- Additional required training includes Glucometer, Aegis, RN Patient Deterioration, Life-Threatening Arrhythmia, and Nurse Wound Care training within established timeframes
