Job Summary
Utilize the nursing process to provide individualized care, including assessment, diagnosis, outcomes planning, implementation, and evaluation for residents. Collaborate with interdisciplinary colleagues, residents, and families to coordinate care, conduct assessments, and deliver education. Manage preventative care, health maintenance, and treatment phases while practicing within the full scope of nursing expertise. May serve as charge nurse, delegating tasks to licensed and unlicensed personnel within their competence levels. Ensure safe administration of resident care and resolution of service concerns in compliance with the Nurse Practice Act and American Nurses Association standards. Work evening shifts (2pm–10:30pm) for 16 hours weekly, including every other weekend and holidays, with additional incentives for late-night hours.
Required Qualifications
- Currently holds an unencumbered RN license with the State Board of Nursing where the practice of nursing is occurring and/or possess multistate licensure if in a Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) state
- Obtains and subsequently maintains required department specific competencies and certifications
- Must be available for every other weekend and holiday
- Must be available for shifts between 6pm-6am
Desired Qualifications
- Graduate from a nationally accredited nursing program preferred, including, but not limited to, Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE), Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN), and National League for Nursing Commission for Nursing Education Accreditation (NLN CNEA)
- Bachelor's Degree in nursing preferred
