Job Summary
Utilize the nursing process to provide individualized care, coordinate resident assessments, and implement health maintenance and treatment plans. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, residents, and families to evaluate care outcomes and ensure safe administration of services. May serve as charge nurse, delegating tasks to licensed and unlicensed personnel within the scope of their competence. Adhere to the Nurse Practice Act and American Nurses Association standards while maintaining full licensure. Work 24 hours weekly on day shifts including every other weekend and holidays.
Required Qualifications
- Currently holds an unencumbered RN license with the State Board of Nursing where the practice of nursing is occurring and/or possess multistate licensure if in a Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) state
- Obtains and subsequently maintains required department specific competencies and certifications
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs
Desired Qualifications
- Graduate from a nationally accredited nursing program preferred, including, but not limited to, Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE), Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN), and National League for Nursing Commission for Nursing Education Accreditation (NLN CNEA)
- Bachelor's Degree in nursing preferred
