Job Summary
Utilize the nursing process to provide individualized care, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation for residents. Collaborate with interdisciplinary colleagues, providers, families, and residents to coordinate care, manage health maintenance, and address diagnoses and treatments. Perform resident education and various nursing interventions while serving as charge nurse to delegate tasks to licensed and unlicensed assistive personnel. Practice within the full scope of nursing expertise and adhere to the Nurse Practice Act and American Nurses Association standards. Work day shifts from 6am to 11pm, 24 hours per week, with every other weekend and holiday coverage.
Required Qualifications
- Currently holds an unencumbered RN license with the State Board of Nursing where the practice of nursing is occurring and/or possess multistate licensure if in a Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) state
- Obtains and subsequently maintains required department specific competencies and certifications
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs
Desired Qualifications
- Graduate from a nationally accredited nursing program preferred, including, but not limited to, Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE), Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN), and National League for Nursing Commission for Nursing Education Accreditation (NLN CNEA)
- Bachelor's Degree in nursing preferred
