Job Summary
Utilize the nursing process to provide individualized care, coordinating assessments, education, and interventions for residents across all phases of preventative care, health maintenance, diagnosis, and treatment. Collaborate with interdisciplinary colleagues, families, and providers to plan and evaluate care plans. Serve as charge nurse when needed, delegating tasks to licensed and unlicensed assistive personnel within their scope of competence while ensuring safe administration of resident care. Maintain competency in state licensure and department-specific standards under the Nurse Practice Act. Work day shifts from 6am to 11pm, 24 hours per week, including every other weekend and holidays.
Required Qualifications
- Currently holds an unencumbered RN license with the State Board of Nursing where the practice of nursing is occurring and/or possess multistate licensure if in a Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) state
- Obtains and subsequently maintains required department specific competencies and certifications
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs
Desired Qualifications
- Graduate from a nationally accredited nursing program preferred, including, but not limited to, Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE), Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN), and National League for Nursing Commission for Nursing Education Accreditation (NLN CNEA)
- Bachelor's Degree in nursing preferred
