Job Summary
Deliver exceptional nursing care to patients by assessing status, implementing clinical interventions, and developing care plans to enhance outcomes. Provide direct patient care according to the provider's prescribed plan while closely monitoring progress and recovery. Administer medication, insulin, and IV/fluids, document thoroughly, and inspect wounds or assist with personal hygiene. Collaborate with providers, aides, and allied health professionals to ensure exceptional patient outcomes. Work 36 weekly hours in days/afternoons on the Step Down Unit at St. Charles Hospital.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science Nursing (preferred)
- Current state licensure (or covered compact licensure) as a Registered Nurse (RN)
- One (1) year of professional experience practicing as a Registered Nurse (RN)
- BLS Basic Life Support (preferred upon hire, must obtain from approved source prior to direct patient care; ACLS Advanced Cardiac Life Support acceptable in lieu of BLS)
Desired Qualifications
- Recent Behavioral Health experience (preferred, not required)
- EPIC Electronic Health Record training (preferred, not required)
- De-Escalation Training (preferred, not required)
