Job Summary
Provide direct patient care to adults and children in outpatient and inpatient behavioral health settings, including consultation, evaluation, and treatments utilizing individual, group, and family psychotherapies alongside medication management. Manage and deliver patient care to assigned patients in collaboration with an interdisciplinary team of psychiatrists, psychologists, and social workers, while completing ongoing assessments to facilitate desired outcomes. Delegate responsibilities as appropriate and serve as a leader of the interdisciplinary team under the direction of the attending physician. Maintain competency in professional nursing practices and react appropriately to patient care emergencies.
Required Qualifications
- Graduation from a Registered Professional Nursing Program
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of New York
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing
- Maintains competency in professional nursing practices
- Knowledge of standard health care reporting measures required
- Ability to recognize patient care problems and to react appropriately in patient care emergencies
