Job Summary
Provide direct psychiatric nursing care to patients, using strong organizational and leadership skills to assess patient status; implement clinical nursing interventions and care plans to enhance outcomes; administer medications, insulin, and IV fluids; monitor progress; collaborate with providers, aides, and other health professionals to ensure exceptional patient outcomes; maintain a safe and therapeutic environment and document patient conditions and changes accurately.
Required Qualifications
- Current state licensure (or covered compact licensure) as a Registered Nurse (RN)
- BLS Basic Life Support (preferred upon hire, must obtain prior to direct patient care)
- ACLS Advanced Cardiac Life Support acceptable in lieu of BLS
- One year of professional RN experience
- Recent Behavioral Health experience (preferred, not required)
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (preferred)
