Job Summary
Deliver, direct, and supervise patient care to admitted units under the direction of nursing leadership. Utilize the nursing process to plan, coordinate, and provide interdisciplinary care, including discharge planning, patient and family teaching for post-hospitalization, and accessing community resources. Perform assigned duties such as Charge Nurse responsibilities, which require ACLS certification. Maintain current RN licensure, BLS, and ACLS certifications within 90 days of employment. Work 12-hour shifts covering 36 weekend hours per week with shift differentials.
Required Qualifications
- Current licensure as a registered nurse (RN) in the state where the hospital resides, or compact licensure if state participates
- Current BLS certification
- Evidence of ACLS certification within 90 days of employment
- BLS and ACLS certifications must be AHA approved within 90 days of employment
- Current ACLS certification (for Charge Nurses)
Desired Qualifications
- One year of inpatient medical-surgical nursing experience
