Job Summary
Conduct thorough patient assessments, develop individualized care plans, and administer medications and treatments according to physician orders. Provide wound care, educate patients and families on health management, and offer emotional support during critical situations. Collaborate with physicians and specialists to coordinate comprehensive care, manage life-support systems in ICUs or ERs, and accurately document all interventions in the electronic health record. Adhere to hospital policies to maintain patient safety and infection control standards. Requires an active Indiana RN license, BLS certification, and experience in clinical settings, with ICU or ER specialization preferred. Full-time direct placement in Evansville, IN.
Required Qualifications
- Active and unencumbered RN license in the state of Indiana
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited nursing program
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Ability to stand, walk, and move throughout the shift
- Ability to lift, move, and position patients as needed
- Ability to perform tasks requiring manual dexterity and physical endurance
Desired Qualifications
- Specialized experience in ICU, ER, or long-term care
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification
- Other specialty certifications
- Previous experience in a clinical setting
- Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
- Proficient in medication administration and use of medical technology
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in high-pressure environments and manage multiple priorities
- Compassionate and patient-centered approach to care
