Job Summary
Conduct thorough patient assessments, including vital signs and physical examinations, while developing and implementing individualized nursing care plans. Safely administer medications and treatments such as IV therapy and wound care, and provide education to patients and families on managing health conditions. Collaborate with physicians and specialists to coordinate comprehensive care, monitor critical care patients in specialized units, and accurately document all interventions in the electronic health record. Offer emotional support to patients and families during stressful situations while adhering to all hospital policies for patient safety and infection control. Requires an active Indiana RN license, BLS certification, and experience in clinical settings, with ICUs or ERs highly valued.
Required Qualifications
- Active and unencumbered RN license in the state of Indiana
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited nursing program
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Ability to stand, walk, and move throughout the shift
- Ability to lift, move, and position patients as needed
- Ability to perform tasks requiring manual dexterity and physical endurance
Desired Qualifications
- Specialized experience in ICU, ER, or long-term care
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification
- Other specialty certifications
- Previous experience in a clinical setting
- Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
- Proficient in medication administration and use of medical technology
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in high-pressure environments and manage multiple priorities
- Compassionate and patient-centered approach to care
