Registered Nurse (RN)

Provide culturally sensitive nursing care to assigned patients in Labor & Delivery, Recovery, and Postpartum, administering medications and performing fetal monitoring as needed. Scrub in for cesarean sections, anticipate surgical instrument needs as a circulator, and float between units for 1:1 patient observation. Evaluate patient conditions, recognize emergencies, and take immediate action for adverse reactions or variances. Document assessments, nursing diagnoses, and care plans; conduct life-span education and discharge planning. Function as a Resource Nurse in the absence of leadership, mentor students, and participate in unit conferences to drive quality improvement. Complete required certifications including IV, CPR, ACLS, and NRP within six months.
