Job Summary
Nursing leadership role leading the Labor and Delivery nursing services at Banner Thunderbird Medical Center. Provides managerial and clinical oversight for designated units, balancing operational excellence with compassionate leadership to ensure safe, high-quality, patient-centered care. Partners with interdisciplinary leaders to drive performance improvement, manage staffing and resources, ensure regulatory compliance, and support staff development. Requires BSN or MSN, current RN license in state of practice, BLS, and at least two years of clinical management experience; preferred Master’s degree in nursing. This is a full-time night leadership position with on-call rotation and day meetings as needed. The unit handles high-risk obstetric care in a Level III center with a high-volume maternity program and NICU, requiring strong clinical leadership and a focus on patient outcomes and staff engagement.
Required Qualifications
- BSN or MSN required for all new hires
- Current RN license in state of practice
- BLS certification
- Minimum two years of clinical management experience
- Knowledge of clinical care management and regulatory standards
- Strong communication and leadership skills
