Job Summary
Assistant Nurse Manager for the Neuro-Telemetry unit. Works with the nurse manager to lead a unit, mentor and coach staff, promote staff recruitment and retention, and achieve clinical and financial goals. Responsible for accountability for care delivery, collaboration with physicians and other departments, staffing effectiveness, budget support, and implementing evidence-based practice and quality/safety initiatives. Demonstrates leadership in communication, teamwork, and continuous learning to advance nursing management goals and professional practice.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelors Nursing or Masters Nursing
- RN license in the appropriate scope (RN - Registered Nurse or RN-COMPACT)
- BLS - Basic Life Support or equivalent
- National certification in nursing administration (preferred)
- Minimum 3 years of clinical experience
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills; relationship-building
- Desire to pursue progressive nursing management roles; coaching/mentoring
- Ability to understand health care financing, strategy and operations for running a unit/service
- Commitment to evidence-based practice and quality/safety standards
- Experience with shared governance or shared decision making
- Ability to use data and technology to support decision making and operations
- Knowledge of regulatory/licensing/accreditation requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's in Nursing as required by role
