Job Summary
RN Assistant Nurse Manager in Neuro-Telemetry (Evenings) partners with the nurse manager to lead a clinical unit, mentor staff, and drive achievement of clinical and financial goals. Responsibilities include engaging staff in decision making, supporting budget monitoring, promoting staff recruitment and retention, fostering teamwork and professional nursing practice, ensuring adherence to licensure standards, and applying evidence-based practice to improve care delivery and outcomes. The role emphasizes leadership, mentorship, collaboration with physicians and other departments, and ensuring quality and safety standards in a patient-centered care environment.
Required Qualifications
- RN - Registered Nurse (Single State) or RN-COMPACT - RN - Multi-state Compact
- BLS - Basic Life Support or ARC-BLS - American Red Cross Basic Life Support or BLS-I - Basic Life Support - Instructor
- National certification in nursing administration
- Minimum 3 years of clinical experience
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills and relationship building
- Desires to see progressive nursing management roles and opportunities to coach and mentor others
- Strong understanding of healthcare financing, strategy and operations for running a clinical unit
- Experience with data-driven decision making and quality/safety focus
- Support for shared governance or shared decision making
- Knowledge of risk management and accreditation/licensing requirements
