Job Summary
Assess, monitor, administer medication, document progress, and manage overall care for pre-op and post-op patients ranging from pediatrics to geriatrics. Partner with an interdisciplinary team including attending physicians, registered nurses, and ancillary staff to optimize patient outcomes and satisfaction. Advocate for and build meaningful relationships with patients and their loved ones through safety intervention, emotional support, and education. This role is available in Long Island for candidates with at least one year of surgical experience and a BSN degree. The position requires a New York RN license, BLS, and ACLS certifications, with PALS preferred. Catholic Health offers a competitive salary range of $54.49 to $74.73 per hour, along with generous benefits including tuition assistance and a defined benefit pension plan.
Required Qualifications
- 1+ years of Registered Nurse (RN) experience in a surgical setting
- 1+ years medical/surgical experience
- Bachelors of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree
- New York Registered Nurse (RN) License & Registration
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Provider Certification
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
Desired Qualifications
- Ambulatory Surgery experience
- Associate's Degree if enrolled in an accredited BSN program
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
