Job Summary
Registered Nurse (RN) needed for Adult Outpatient Pavilion OBGYN. Deliver and document direct, age-specific care to patients in an outpatient obstetrics/gynecology setting, administer prescribed medications, and participate in an integrated, multidisciplinary care plan. Role includes providing direction, education, and acting as a clinical role model within the team; should anticipate changes in patient conditions and intervene appropriately; maintain patient safety and quality of care per physician orders, ANA Ethics, and Virginia nursing standards. Responsibilities span pregnancy/postpartum care, family planning, and women’s health services; clinic operates Monday–Friday 8:00am–4:30pm with no weekend/night/on-call shifts. Supervisory duties may include organizing work and supervising other nursing staff as applicable. The role requires licensure in Virginia (or eligible/compact state), BLS HCP certification, and a nursing degree (Diploma/AA with pathway to BSN). Skills include clinical documentation, medication safety, patient education, teamwork, and strong clinical reasoning in a fast-paced outpatient environment.
Required Qualifications
- Current RN licensure in Virginia or eligible or compact state
- Diploma or Associates Degree from nursing program
- AHA BLS HCP Certification or equivalent
- Experience: Clin II 12 to 24 months RN experience; Clin III 3 years of clinical experience
- All RN without a Bachelor's degree must enroll in RN to BSN program within two years and complete within five years unless grandfathered
