Job Summary
Provide direct and indirect care to patients in inpatient behavioral health; assess patients' physical and psychological condition on an ongoing basis throughout the continuum of care; utilize the nursing process consistent with MiraVista Behavioral Health Center's philosophy and core principles; collaborate with the multidisciplinary treatment team to contribute to and document goals and interventions informed by patient strengths and psychiatric presentation; maintain a safe therapeutic milieu and support evidence-based, trauma-informed care for adults (with adolescent program exposure) within a 32-hour weekly night-shift slot (11:00 pm–7:30 am) including weekend and holiday rotation; require MA RN licensure, BSN preferred, CPR, and crisis/de-escalation skills.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Massachusetts
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing; BSN preferred
- Advanced knowledge of behavioral health and substance use disorders treatment modalities
- Understanding of the Trauma-Informed Recovery model of care
- Valid CPR certification
- Experience in psychiatric or substance use disorders inpatient settings preferred
- Crisis management and time management skills; ability to multitask in stressful situations
