Job Summary
Monitor, examine, and evaluate patient conditions while delivering care plans that promote short- and long-term outcomes. Collaborate with staff to coordinate daily patient flow, prioritize actions based on patient needs, and maintain accurate documentation of assessments and care changes. Serve as a patient advocate by listening to concerns, educating families on health issues, and communicating pertinent information to providers while upholding confidentiality. Participate in performance improvement initiatives, maintain professional licenses and certifications, and mentor other nurses through shared governance activities. Full-time 36-hour schedule with a $10,000 sign-on bonus available.
Required Qualifications
- Associates Nursing or Diploma (Nurse) Nursing or Bachelors Nursing-Preferred
- BLS-I - Basic Life Support - Instructor or BLS - Basic Life Support or ARC-BLS - Amer Red Cross Basic Life Support
- RN - Reg Nurse (Single State) or RN-COMPACT - RN - Multi-state Compact
- PALS - Pediatric Adv Life Support or ARC-PALS - Amer Red Cross Pediatric Advanced Life Support or PALS-I - PALS - Instructor or PALS-P - PALS-Provisional (180 Days) within 180 Days
- TNCC - Trauma Nurse Core Course or ATCN - Adv Trauma Care for Nurses Cer or TNCC-P - Trauma Nurse Core Course - Provisional (18 Months) within 18 Months
- ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support or ARC-ALS - Amer Red Cross Advanced Life Support or ACLS-I - ACLS - Instructor or ACLS-P - ACLS-Provisional (180 Days) within 180 Days
- Maintains professional licenses and certifications
- Completes all required training
- Is involved in professional organizations
- Keeps current with research literature and industry best practices
- Seeks opportunities for professional growth and leadership development
- Fosters the growth and development of other nurses through mentorship and preceptorship
- Adheres to all confidentiality, safety, and professional standards
